PP Strapping

PP (Polypropylene) strapping is an economical, flexible, and lightweight strapping material ideal for bundling lightweight packages, cartons, and soft loads. It offers good chemical resistance and performs well in cold storage conditions.

Features

  • Material: Polypropylene (PP)

  • Tensile Strength: 30–40 MPa

  • Elongation at Break: 200–600%

  • Modulus of Elasticity: 1500–1700 MPa

  • Operating Temperature Range: -20°C to +80°C

  • UV Resistance: Low (not suitable for outdoor use)

  • Moisture Resistance: Good

  • Chemical Resistance: Excellent (especially to acids and alkalis)

  • Density: 0.90–0.91 g/cm³

  • Surface: Soft and flexible

Applications:

  • Bundling light cartons, boxes, and bags

  • Packaging in chemical environments (acid/base exposure)

  • Cold storage facilities

Advantages:

Limitations:

  • Not suitable for high-tension applications or pallet loads
